San Rafael Farm to School Expansion
The Farm to Student Subcommittee would like to thank everyone who submitted a letter of support for the expansion of the San Rafael Farm to School program at the previous McPhail Elementary School site. Marin City Tree Planting Celebration
The Marin City Intergenerational Garden hosted a tree planting celebration on October 11th 2018 and planted a small orchard in its garden. The project was made possible through a generous grant from the
Fruit Tree Planting Foundation, an award-winning international nonprofit charity dedicated to planting fruitful trees and plants. With a vision of expanding the edible landscape beyond the garden, the Marin City Community Services District with the support of the Marin County HHS’ Nutrition Wellness Program partnered with other community partners, such as the
Golden Gate National Recreation Area (GGNRA), and
Golden Gate Village Public Housing to successfully apply and receive the grant. Fruiting trees will be planted and easily accessible to residents throughout the community. For more information contact Sharon Turner, Marin City Intergenerational Garden Manager at
