New Partnerships
We are excited about our new partnership with NorCal Resources and Redwood Community Health Coalition to assist us with food security screening and referrals through the Aunt Bertha platform. NorCal Resources is a bi-directional closed loop HIPAA compliant referral and resource tool. For the purpose of our work, NorCal Resources can support our providers while Food Now Marin app will remain the client/community tool. We look forward to planning the launch of this tool at our next Food Now Taskforce meeting on Monday March 11th from 2-4 at the Marin Community Foundation.
Healthy Food and Beverage Standards
Supporting our community in setting healthy food and beverage standards is key to ensuring our clients are receiving healthy meals. The taskforce will be reviewing standards and developing a set of HEAL nutrition guidelines to promote among community service providers. Look for information in the coming months on how your agency can help adopt healthy standards.
The Rollin’ Root Expands Service
We are excited to announce the Rollin’ Root mobile market will be launching a second route on March 15th serving Kaiser Permanente, Mackey Terrace and Parnow Friendship House. In addition, they will be launching a West Marin route in June. The team is working with community members to identify an appropriate location.
Marin City Food Pharmacy
The Marin City Food Pharmacy just launched the 4th cohort in February. The team is planning to expand to a health hub style model in order to bring more community resources into Marin City.
